    Hi

I am having problems getting sound to come from my SPDIF output on my laptop and going to my home theater system. I have an Asus G2S-A1 with a SPDIF output that doubles as the headphone jack. I am using a mini toshlink to optical converter. My receiver is a Samsung HT-Z310.

This is odd, however, because I use my optical output to connect my laptop to my Aiwa stero via an optical input and to an Onkyo receiver. They both work perfectly.

I have also used the optical input on the Samsung to hook up my PS2 and and a DVD player. They both work fine as well.

I have messed with any and all settings I can find, used differnt software to play back Dolby Digital and DTS encoded disks, and reinstalled several differnt versions of the Realtek HD drivers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
