Hi, I own an ASUS U30JC, I've had it since May of 2010 and have had generally no problems with. It has been great for college and can run World of Warcraft very well.

Unfortunately, 2 weeks ago I noticed that when I loaded up DosBox, I could not see any text on the console display (if I typed what I needed to load up a game on DosBox, the game would load but I would not see anything only hear the game; the screen would remain black).

I also loaded up World of Warcraft to see if that worked. I could hear the menu music but all I had was a black screen and could not see anything; the game works but I cannot see anything in the game.

This laptop has the Intel Integrated graphics and a NVIDIA GeForce 310M card (switchable graphics, although automatic). I think this whole problem started after I tried to upgraded my NVIDIA card through the NVIDIA website; the whole process failed at the end and not update took place.

Has anyone ever had this problem where they cannot see anything in their games but can hear everything? I really hope I can get this fixed, but I'm convinced it's a hardware problem. Any solutions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you everyone! =)

Try uninstalling your video drivers and grabbing the latest ones for your model on Asus' support site or you could use system restore if you have a restore point right before installing the new drivers.
