So lets say you buy an Asus model that is not available in the US, example would be the w6fp, if you need service, will you be able to send it in for repair here in the US?

    thanks,

Asus laptops come with Asus Global Warranty. So if you purchase a laptop from another country and come to North America, you can still use the warranty but you may want to call ahead and figure out what's wrong with the notebook and what part they require.

Once they have the part, then you should send your notebook in, otherwise your wait time for a particular part could be up to 1-2 weeks for a specific part, because Asus NA may have to order that part in.

i m quite sure that besides the keyboard which is country.specific, most if not all parts r the same ;-)

some arguments can be arised about fcc compliance (wifi) or what not, but personally i thnk it is bit of a hot air in this area

    cheers ...
