This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Not booting w. CD in drive?

    REcently for some reason my Z70V doesnt want to boot xp if there is a cd (dvd rather..) in the drive... i have no idea why... boot sequence is hd first and then cd drive... but it wasnt bootable anyway... the xp boot screen ran but then just went to a black screen and nothing happened... then i took out the cd and it worked... ideas? :confused:
