As it's been said over 9000 times, merely opening your computer will not void anything.

But Forge here has voided his warranty over 9000 times now with all his modding...

If I'd only been more careful with applying new paste to my GPU, I would have had a G51 with an X9100 and better thermal paste, plus warranty.

Wasn't it you though that did all the copper modding? Or was that TevashSzat?

    Me.

But those are (relatively) easy to remove. I can never put my poor, broken sticker back together again. Or the holes. But I did the holes after I looked bleakly at the voided warranty and said "screw it" to myself.

My laptop (not an Asus product) has 'Warranty void if seal damaged' (all in caps, mind you) over half of the screw holed on the underside, if your computer doesn't have those, it's probably fine to open.

Nope, on ASUS the only sticker is on one of the CPU heatsink screws. Perfectly safe to open and do a fair amount of disassembly, even, without voiding the warranty.
