If this has Been asked before, Please provide a link....

Which notebook Cooler would be good For either one of the Z70/Z71 series? Do we want one that "sucks" air from the Bottom or "blows" air up on the Chassis?

I'd suggest this below.... I've been sent a lot of these over the last few years and this has been the only one I've suggested to anyone over the last year and a half. We've got them with the black surround of pearl (to match the S5/W5)

I did, That thing is Nice but pricey!! Good recommendation though

I decided to go with the Bytecc NC-500 Aluminum stand. I had the Targus Plastic coolpad, and that thing did "Nothing"...Needless to say, I returned it back to the store.
The NC-500 Bytecc Unit on the other hand is much nicer, COOLS, and was $5 cheaper then the Targus junk. Now My HDD sits @ a comfortable 30*c.

Either the Coolmaster or Bytecc Aluminum stands get my vote any day. Stay away from Expensive plastic pads!!!

BTW, Justin, Is the Antec made of Plastic or is that an Aluminum base??

I recently received a Vantec LapCool 4 - and so far, its working like a charm. Everything but the GPU is now idling at 30-40 degrees.

    Plus, its pretty small.

The Antec is aluminum and plastic..... the surround is plastic, but the pad itself is perforated aluminum.

I have both the antec and the coolermaster pads, the antec is a great size for my 14" M2 but I found it a bit small for my M6N aka v70. I use the coolermaster for the M6n now and I prefer it to the antec. Its also quiter yet seems to do as good a job as the antec one.

Yes, there was a review for the Vantec models and the Coolermaster model, on a website...crap I forget which one, but the reviewer came to the conclusion that the Coolermaster gets the job done better than the Vantec, but with a couple things to note, these things I remember distinctly as if I were quoting the review.

The Vantec is more portable, the fans stay in place, but it does not cool as well and uses up more power.

The Coolermaster is bigger, so not as portable, does the job of cooling better, b/c of the aluminum construction, fans can get nudged out of place, uses less power.

They suggested both units will do the job, so go with the one you prefer~!!!

    :D

    Cheers,
    Mike

I will go look for the link for that review ^_^

I am looking at the ads and listing for that one, and it sounds good. Having a four port USB 2.0 hub really helps, since I have four items plugged into my laptop when DJing, and at times need a fifth device.

Does the power supply for the LapCool4 fit into one of the storage compartments?

Is is too small for a medium sized laptop? I have a Gateway with 15.4" screen.

    Thanks!
