Right, my function key is stuck. I've had this problem before, and it wasn't a problem with the keypad itself, but a function of it that I didn't understand how to turn off. I managed to find out the keys to turn it off, but now I've forgotten them - and can't remember where I found them. I've also contacted ASUS directly, but they suggested taking my notepad in - instead of any useful suggestions.

    The problems:-
    - My numlock is automatically turned on. To turn it off, I have to turn it off. So, basically, turning the numlock off turns the numlock on.
    - My one to five keys don't work. They give me calculator, my documents etc.
    - My function keys are set to brightness, change sound, sleep etc. and they override the current function keys of the keyboard.

I use an ASUS A6Tseries, and I'd like to know the key combination for turning off function. It has a Windows XP OS.

If anyone knows, please do say.

NOTE:- I managed to get a temporary fix with some combination of Fn, Ctrl, A, S, Z. I'm not certain which ones, and it's now not working, again.

(It should be noted that this has to be one of the dumbest ideas every for a notepad keyboard, especially since the manual offers no help whatsoever in describing what keys to press to turn it off. I mean, an obscure key combination that makes function stay on? Who the hell was stupid enough to suggest that?)

Is it a hardware(keyboard) problem? Or is it the circuitry?

Perhaps ask ASUS to send you a new keyboard?

As far as I can tell, it's the stupidest built-in function ever made for a keyboard. =/

It means that I can switch my function key to stay locked on, or switch it back to normal...

But, it's an obscure key combination that can be randomly pressed whilst using ctrl for things.
