I got my laptop back via warranty with servicenet. After I got it, It shutdown unexpectedly a few times, and if I remember correctly, it was when I was using an HDMI.
So I did a factory restore. It was running fine again.
It was working fine yesterday. I watched a few episodes of Dexter in HD. The laptop was connected to an HDTV.
Tonight, when I connected the laptop via HDMI, it just shut off. It went to the shutoff screen ("Windows Is Shutting Down"). It didn't just go black. It actually took the time to exit out of programs too.
You think this is a hardware or software problem?
Mu temperatures are fine. Hasn't gone over 80C yet.
What could be the problem?
Asus n61jq
Windows 7 64bit
ATI hd 5730
I was using google chrome, and it gave me a memory error, could that be a problem? I think I was using google chrome during he times when this happened. One time, I know for sure google chrome took me to a purple error page saying something about not enough ram, than my compiter just shut off. computer randomly shutoff.
