My Asus n61jq randomly turns black after a few minutes when playing wow. Its getting me worried. Not sure why it is doing this.

I think it may because my hinge switches are messed up or because my RAM has been acting up lately (it gave me am error message in chrome, no window error messages though).

    What could be the problem?

My laptop randomly shutoff off twice yesterday when I was connected via HDMi.

When I was playing wow, it was just using the laptop monitor. No HDMI.

Do you have any Errors or Warnings in the System and Application Event Logs? Launch Event Viewer, expand "Windows Logs", and select "System". Then search the log for any Errors or Warnings. Report them by listing a) EventID, b) Source, and c) exact text of Description (displayed when you select the individual event from the list).

I have a bunch of errors and warning. But a lot of that is from my wireless connection. Or me deciding not to enable my DVD drive.

I take a closer look to find any issues.

Should I just post the whole log if I can't find anything?

Is there a certain type of error message I should look for?

Can a surge protector cause such problems? Like sending a signal for the laptop to shutoff or turn the monitor black?

What sort of temps are you getting throughout your system (a program like HWinfo is good for looking at most things at once).

    60c to 85c.

    Throttling occurs at 100c on a n61jq.

Been testing for a little bit. And I think it is only doing this for WoW.
