How many of you keep your notebook stickers on? E.g. the Pentium M sticker... ATI sticker... warranty sticker... etc.

The processor and video card stickers are keeper...
they are the second impression of your laptop....the first one being the design of your laptop...I also like to keep the windows...also...and the rest go....everything except s/n of the machine...

I don't count..... but I keep everything clean....... but then again, I have access to new stickers if I ever wanted them..

... this is a good question.. I know people who will keep the protective plastic on their stuff for 5 years...... it gets rather gross... but thats what a roommate of mine in college did. He kept ALL of the stickers which included like the warranty sticker and a features sticker........ the plastic that goes over the screen....... for 4 years. It looked gross, but he thought it kept it looking new... People like that think it makes it look like they just bought something and the stickers and so forth so it off....... (certainly not my style)... He has a sticker that took up one big corner of the palmrest and the same sticker on the lid that had the model name and features and all of that......

    One word....... TACKY

ATI and Centrino stickers.... I understand.... certainly centrino stickers because those things are like gold....

    Thanks,
    Justin

I've kept the ATI and Pentium M sticker on... I never got a Centrino nor a Windows XP sticker [ :(]
Which is weird... because I have the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG... but still no Centrino sticker.

I'm thinking about taking off the ATI and Intel sticker though... keep my laptop nice and sticker-less. We'll see... heh.

All clean here. No stickers. Came off immediately as the design of the laptop is what i am interested in not some corporate labelling. The image itseld should convey power nad state of the art technology. If stickers are required to do the job then that is just vain.

I don't quite understand the mentality of leaving any of the stickers on. Do you need to be reminded your pc is made for win xp?

Perhaps there is a logical reason, though it escapes me.

Just so you know, the process for us to get centrino stickers was hell..... most likely why you don't have one. Every system needs to be tested with all the components and it's a real pain in the butt.

So, legally, they can only ship with pentium-m stickers and not centrino unless who you bought it from was a member of the intel inside program and their systems qualify..... regardless of your set up.. The other reason why it's so hard is that it's easy to get a barebone and companies have called the systems "centrino" and sold them without an intel wifi card...... or with another wifi card.

There was a huge fuss over dell when centrino first came out. Dell put their own G wifi cards in the systems but used the centrino logo.... I think they got in huge trouble over it.

We have centrino stickers on all of our qualified systems, which are all of the centrino models... anyone who doesn't, just doesn't have that level of reliability and assurance.

Also, last summer people were selling centrino stickers on ebay and they were going for big bucks.... people sticking them on like P3 and P4 systems........ I don't know if they were stealing them off computers in a store.. but they were going for a LOT, just for one. When you think about it, thats what people want to see because most people don't know jack.... oh, centrino.. i want that.. if i don't see the sticker, i don't want it... Figure that out... someone who knows what they want, but don't know the difference between a centrino system and a P4? People want centrino desktops, so most people aren't that bright.......

    Thanks,
    Justin
