Since this is only for a limited time, I figured it wouldn't hurt to inform all of those holiday shopper in a dedicated thread as my sticky sometimes gets overlooked. Basically, I signed off on a special modification to the member program for some of our hottest models (S6f/W5f/W7jp/W3jp/A8js), and am offering our new "Asus Notebook Warranty Extension Package" ($129 value), as an option for the MDP. For the following two weeks, there will be no minimum post or minimum mebership time needed to make use of the program.
This is basically only for in stock systems and only for as long as that stock lasts. This overrides the normal MDP and student discount, but is better than both combined, so I hope no one is offended.

ok, am i the only one who never gets proportable.com to load? Almost every time I try to visit your site, it appears to be down.

The past few days during the daytime I've have trouble connecting to proportable.com also. Before that it was fine and at night it usually seems to work for me.
I did a trace route and it looks like I'm timing out a few hops after going through Philadelphia (I'm in Maryland). Even as I post this, your image forum signature is red X'ed. -
same here, can't access the site. doesn't inspire confidence in the vendor.

Our T3 backbone had a fiber slice on Tuesday and we were down from 1-6pm EST. They found out it was two hours south of us, near Philly. We were back up that evening, and we've been going in and out over the last two days and it's seriously disturbing. We have as many fallbacks as we can, with multiple servers, running multiple ips and even have backups in another location. The problem is that in the end, they all lead back to one big backbone 200 miles. Our email servers trip over to an enterprise level cable service if there is any interuption of the T3, but the cable can not support the traffic to the site anymore.
I do know about it and we have our guys working on the issue. All I know is CTE is going to be refunding us a lot of money for lost service as well as lost business...... and we're not the only ones connected to the backbone.. obviously. -
