    New laptop...tried to use the number keyboard on right, but wouldn't work..Cursor moved left and right, Number lock light is OFF. Turned on number lock so light is ON - now the numbers work. Shouldn't it be the opposite, so that if the light is OFF, the numbers work? Called support for ASUS...a waste of my time. Not a critical issue, as long as they work, but still.....

    No, number light on means that the NumPad is turned on.

    Always been that way :).

    Thanks - I suspected as much (tho the manual has it reversed). I did ask the tech support guy on the phone, but he actually refused to answer that question - said I was only allowed one per call (my first one was, how do I get the pad to work). Could barely understand him anyway.
