    What is this 9500m GS card? Is it any good? How does it compare to the 8600m?

    From want I just found from searching Google it's a new card that nVidia will be releasing soon.

    hmm...looks like Asus has it in a couple of models, one of which has the Penryn procs with the 3mb L2 cache. Maybe even turbocache 2.0...

    Yup in february. All based on the G92 (8800GT & GTS 512). The 9800GX2 is set-uppped for the 14 I believe and like his name suggest it, it's 2 cards like the 7950GX2.

    The Geforce 9550 has been in the .inf files of the nvidia drivers since released 169.21 I believe

    ah ok. Sounds like this Asus model hasn't been released yet. I was just going by their web site. Betcha the new Macs will have the Penryns if Asus will.
