Hey fellas, i was hoping we could start a compilation of users reviews and scores for different nvidia drivers...

ive been having a hell of a time finding the "best" drivers for my V1S-B1 w/8600GT.....im going back to laptopvideo2go.com to test some more out...but i have yet to find one that keeps me content with game performance and external video support....

it seems that most drivers need an unusual amount of tweaking before any game or even movie is up to par...

so what im asking is i guess a list...

    DRIVER VERSION: ?
    WHERE FROM: ?
    PLUS'S: ?
    CONS: ?
    SCORES: ?
    OVERALL/COMMENTS: ?

if could get this going with just that basic information and few comments that would be awesome...maybe even make it a sticky

169.01 - Best performance so far as well as the ability to overclock. Control panel still won't save individual game settings, though. The only one that does is the 163.44 for me.

    I don't use external video.

Latest driver update from support.asus.com. :) Pro: almost always works without problems, no headaches incurred.
Con: newer drivers might improve performance.

Can't play older games like BF1942 in Vista with Asus stock drivers.

169.01, great performance (both XP and Vista). Haven't let me down yet, waiting for 169.02 to upload later today.

Any issues with sleep/hibernation? I had a set from L2G that wouldn't wake up the screen when the system woke up from sleep state. Everything else would wake up, just not the screen.

Also, does the video declock on battary power with 168.01/2?

    TIA!
