I mentioned this last month and want to open the invitation to any can buffs out there who need to get away from the dorky computer guys that my life revolves around most of the time and see some scantily clad females all over hot cars and not have to pay per view!

We're out doing the WaterFest show in Englishtown this Saturday, not so much as a vendor, but as a participant as a project car that is being featured by Fourtitude ( www.fourtitude.com), It's a VW family gathering, so mainly all VW's and Audi's... Come down and go to the shore or something... just get out of your house.

We're going to be in the Fourtitude tent and I'll have our project car there and will have some laptops and other Asus goodies there for personal use, if you'd like to see them.... and we'll have our cellular access point set up in the car so you can see what kind things are possible and see how I communicate on the road (often typing in this forum).

It's not really a big deal, but if you want to get out and do something different, this show is always pretty cool and you've got an excuse to meet me and see some products that I carry with me and of course all the sexy cars and aftermarket stuff available for them.

In the future, you'll be able to read articles on our project car over at Fourtitude... They're getting ready to put an intro up before WaterFest, but they're already done with 3-4 articles that they're going to span over some time and we've got some awesome performance upgrades to make, which will be covered as well.

Check out the website for directions..... Again, due to work constraints, I'm only going to be there on Saturday this year, but anyone who can make it, it's worth it, even if just for the raffles and relative crazy happenings when these type of people get together..... http://www.waterfest.net/wf12/wfpGenInfo.aspx?a=4

I went to WF a couple of times, but it started getting crazy-crowded trying to drive into the neighborhood down there, and I vaguely recall some of my fellow S4 drivers even had some trouble with thier cars being vandalized & stolen from the parking lot, so I kinda stopped going. If anyone is planning on going, think about going really early!

I will, however, be out on the track at Watkins Glen next month for a Quattro Club event! I haven't done a track event in about 2 years, so I'm really looking forward to that.

Yeah Lee, that's cool... you're an S4 driver eh? And a Quattro club member? Niccce... I think I could have worked out an S4 discount for you ;) ..... Yeah, well I would be worried about that, but due to my already crazy weekend, I'm only going to be there for Saturday anyway (no overnight) and I'm lucky because I get to be with my car in secure booth, but you're right... last year I know at least a dozen or more S4's got messed up right in the PARKING LOT of the Hotel they were staying at! That's not a good part of Jersey (That's like saying there's a part of dump that doesn't smell as bad as the others), but people had their way with other peoples cars and that's unfortunate.....

Either way, wish you could make it, I like it when I can meet some forum members, and a customer is even better...... but a fellow S4 driver who on top of that, takes it to the track? Awesome man... I've bene meaning to get up the Glen because my cousin has an M3 he taked up there a couple times a month and he runs his mouth about how much better his car is on the track and everything... but I can never seem to find the time. Maybe I will in the coming months. As a fellow S4 driver you should drop me an email, I'll show you what I've done with ours if you haven't already seen it.

Given the odd coincidence that I'm actually in New Jersey this weekend, that would be cool to go to... except that the reason I'm here is because my cousin's getting married.. on Saturday, so no can visit. :( But have lots of fun, Justin! (and whoever else is going) :)

Oh well...... Anyone who comes out, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.... I'd hate to say that the coolest thing you'll see at this giant car show..... and being obviously big Asus fan.... is probably my cellular router, which isn't an Asus product... ironic, I know.

For the handful of you that came out, I don't think I need to thank you.... since I didn't meet anyone wasn't glad they made it to the show or at least to come and see our project car.... either way, it was awfully fun and as scorching hot as it was on pavement this weekend, after this show our project car is really going to be turning up the heat.... There should be a lot more done to it by the end of the summer, and there are more chances to come out and enjoy the fun.... I schooled many people on Asus products as they were checking out our car and was even more surprised and how many people either a: saw one of my laptops in the car and turned their attention away from the car and said they've always wanted to see an Asus notebook in person...... or physically stopped me in a crowd because I was wearing a PROPortable shirt and introduced themselves. I've hard for me to believe, but I met more past customers walking around the show than I did people who specifically saw this thread and came out to meet up with us...... Jersey people buy a lot of Asus notebooks...... they really do.

Waterfest was bigger and better than any computer show I've ever been to in the US and probably had more computers and newer technology than any thing other than CES... We're still taking this with us to some intel events before the end of the summer, but I don't think anything will compare. Anyone who missed it and would like to see what's next, below are some of the bigger things we're talking this to and by the end of the summer, this will be not only the mobile office it already basically is, but a mobile media center like no other.......

    H20 International: 09.24.06 / Ocean City, Maryland

    SEMA Show: 10.31 - 11.03.06 / Las Vegas, Nevada

Oh and by the way... and of you who noticed the VW "umpimp my moto" commercials... Helga, the hottie from them showed up to take pictures and sign autographs at the VW stand across from the stand we were in...... Most say just seeing her was worth the trip.........
