Instead of the the A8Js that I asked for he gave me a A8Jr
I don't know if it's my fault for not checking or his but..
Just a word of caution to you guys out there wanting to buy a laptop. Please check the model b4 purchasing. If you don't there's gonna be lots of headaches.

Yeah, you should send it back and have him send you the correct one.

Well, I dont think there's anything we can do about that. You seem to have checked the model, and still got the wrong one.

The problem is that under the serial number it's listed as A8Js but model number A8Jr. I regret not being more careful in checking the damn thing. =(

Can someone please give me link to sites showing the stock specifications of the two models?

Seems like an odd mistake to make.. Sounds like a dodgy reseller to me.

    Yikes, good luck to you.

Bring it back to that vendor ASAP and demand an exchange.

(The main difference is that the A8JS has a Nvidia Go7700 graphics card, btw)

Well what did you end up paying for? An A8js or A8jr? The A8jr is quite a bit cheaper...

Did you get an invoice/receipt? What does it show on there? If it was their mistake, then yeah, I'd do something about it.

Always print the screen before you finish the sale. If you did, you would have proof the A8Js was checked.

He bought it at a PC Show, like a convention. There is no 'print the screen' in real life dealings.

Good point :) Did you receive a receipt for the sale that gives an inventory what should be in the box?
