    Hi!
I have some minor problems regarding Nvidia optimus and asus graphics switch utility on 1015PN. I got both of the drivers installed, one for ION2 and another for GMA3150. They seem to work correctly according to Device Manager, I can also access both nvidia and intel gma control panel, make changes and stuff, but sometimes I get bsods when booting up. Also, the optimus mode switches back to ION only after second restart. The BSOD seems to occur when windows is switching back to ION ONLY mode. I am thinking it maybe related to the GMA driver as the driver i'm using probably is not WHQL certified. I'm running windows 7 ultimate retail with SP1.
    GMA 3150 driver version: 8.14.10.2364
    ION2 driver version: 8.17.12.8562 (285.62)
    Any help would be appreciated!

The drivers you're using are the latest WHQL'ed drivers available, so it should not be a driver problem. However, try uninstalling both drivers and reinstalling them, see if it does anything.

Thank you for quick reply, i will try reinstalling the drivers sometime later. Right now i'm a bit busy. Thx again. Maybe I should start with reinstalling the graphics switch as it does not save the settings for every startup.

just noticed that the only program which uses ion is nvidia control panel according to GPU activity monitor of nvidia. also the "run with GPU" context menu option does not work.

another option would be using the older nvidia driver from asus site which maybe has less compatibility problems?!

That should not be the case, but you could try and see if it works better.

PROBLEM IS SOLVED!!!! IF YOU EVER NEED TO UPGRADE YOUr 1015pn WINDOWS, you HAVE TO INSTALL THE GRAPHICS DRIVERS FROM ASUS, I mean both INTEL and NVIDIA drivers and everything should be OK! Later, you may update the NVIDIA drivers to the most current one.
    THANKS!
