Just another OT thread(inspired by the car one, of course).

I prefer cruisers to sport bikes. I ride a 1988 Royal Enfield Lightning, 535cc, single cylinder, oil cooled. Also, a 1984 Yamaha RD 350, twin cylinder. And my father owns a 1935 Indian chief(Hand Gears), single seater. So I get to ride that, but it's rare(vintage rallies, mostly :D)

I consider a bike to be a bicycle and a motorcycle to be a motorcycle.

I thought maybe I ran into a fellow mountain biker!

I have a love for motorcycles too, just not the budget. I have my licence for one tho.

For the record mountain biking is much more exciting when you get out on some rough trails. Just have good medical insurance :p

Ahh to be in India and have Enfields and and Indians. My cousin has a Royal Enfield and its a PITA to move around(really heavy). There was one manufacturer that was really neat (I think it was Yezdi??) and they were tanks.
    I have a bike(its a mt. bike though...Specialized Hardrock Sport 2006)

    Why Asus owners only?.....

I am stupid enough to pillion on my partner's Kawasaki zx9, but when I have some more cash i'll be getting a bike myself, probably a Yamaha Fazer or a Suzuki SV650S.

Yezdi made some neat bikes. Great to ride, but ugly as a warthog.... Well, if the Asus thing isn't cool, then could a mod move it over to the OT forum? Actually, as I said, this was inspired by the Car thread on this forum. I would love to own a Harley someday.... Got a 127% import duty here, so it'll remain a dream for yet some while. :sigh:

Jess, if you knew what the Fazer means in India, you'd give your stomach cramps from laughing.. It's a 125cc apology for a motor cycle.

I rode a bright yellow SV650 just a few days ago - great machine! The only differences from the "S" model, I think, are the lack of fairing and windshield, and higher bars. The engine may be tuned a little differently, for better mid-range. Most standards are because without the fairing, riders don't like to push the top end.

I guess there's not too many Asus owners who ride bikes.

My main machine is a 1997 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy which is as comfortable as a couch for long trips. When I have the "need for speed" I hop on my 1991 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-11. I guess you could say that I have both ends of the street bike spectrum covered.
