    Hey guys-

Had my G1S for about two weeks now and all is good, except something feels wrong with the row of ubttons that includes the Power4Gear button and the Power button. It feel as if the buttons slope downards and are loose at the left end, while everything feels solid towards the right. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Ni, can't say I have. The only buttons I don't like are the media keys, they are too hard to push.

People complained that the old G1 had a very flexible left side of the keyboard. Maybe it is related to that?

Yeah, those buttons are tiny! Thats why they are hard to push. They are much smaller than your finger. But I can live with it. I guess they are like that so you do not hit them by accident.

My keyboard is pretty much about perfect though.

The keyboard is perfect. Perfect feedback and comfort.

I will admit, that I began to play with the media buttons when I started reading this thread. ;) Silly me.

I have to report: they are still hard to push.

As for the original post I will have to say that mine does not look/feel like that. Sorry :(.

If the looseness is really noticeable, I would say a screw is missing or not properly screwed in. You could try opening it up to see if you can fix it, although the screws are usually very small, I suspect difficult to find a replacement if one is missing. Take care not to damage/scratch anything though, and do NOT break any warranty seals.

The alternative is to RMA it, which will probably take on the order of 1-2 weeks.

Edit: if you do decide to open it up, I suggest searching for a disassembly manual for the G1P -- you stand better chances than for a G1S manual, as the latter notebook is very new.
