I was thinking of getting a buget laptop and i really like the Z62F so i was thinking can i still put a celeron m 380 into it for the time being...so that maybe 6 months down the line i can put a core duo into it?
Thanks...I'm assuming that with all 945GM chipset I could still use the older pentium m's and celerons...and don't exactly need to use core solo or core duo...is that correct?

Playmaker10, nope, the new chipset only allows the Yonah and future Merom.
This platform is really great, you'll notice nice performance boosts compared to the previous one.
The older platform supported celeron-m and pentium-m.
Hope this helps,
BTW, if you have any other questions plz ask
Thanks,

z62F mainly desige for Core Duo becasue of the mainboard's chipset even the cpu have the same 478 pins.
It is good for you to look for a buget laptop(not expensive one) which come with a 14" glossy LCD screen and Intel graphic video chip share memory up to 128MB.
Ok maybe not Asus related but...
