I reinstalled Vista x64 today on my w3j. When I went to install the card reader driver, it said it was already installed and that the installed driver was a better match. I still over wrote the driver and used the one on the page in the forums. Same thing with the LAN driver. It already had it installed, but I over wrote it with the one from the forums.

Is it ok to do that? Should I worry about any instability issues?

    Thanks,

    Sean

    Hi Sean,

It's OK to do that, I did it without any problems related to drivers.

It's just that the built in vista drivers are newer than your. But it doesn't really mean anything though, since it's unlikely very much differed. If you encounter problems, update using windows update.

Thanks guys for the responses. Much appreciated. I must say, I love this laptop. Being able to play BF2 on max settings is a plus! :)
