I asked this here not to long ago... It shouldn't, considering its a fairly non-invasive procedure, but be sure to check with your warranty's provider just in case.

lol, for those who still may not know this, laptops GPUs are not upgradeable or replaceable...the manufacturer can replace it themselves, but users are not able. If the GPU is soldered then there may be a mobo change, other than that don't think about GPU upgrades. <- they don't exists (sorta)

The exception is Dell and Clevos, but even then it is still manufacturer changes.

Also upgrading the will not void the warranty, but if you havta give it in for service, you should replace the new ram with the old asus stock ram.

    Thanks,

Video Cards in many cases are not upgradeable in laptops, particularly in the w3j considering its small form factor. (I'm shocked they fit all that in). I'd abide by the policy that people told me, new every two. And hey, in two years 64-bit may just have finally come around and its time for an upgrade anyhow :)

hmmm ive pretty much decided on the w3jm the x1600 looks like a good card anywho. I'll keep that in mind for the ram for sure. I'm gonna wait a couple weeks at least to see if the price drops (may 28th) do you think there will be a price drop in august for school?

if the w3j is t2300-t2600, why is it only available from asus as t2400?

When I upgraded my RAM to 2 GIGs, I wasn't given back my old RAM. So how would we replace it with the stock RAM? Was I supposed to get it back?
