i can't find anyone to answer this question!

ive been told the z63a does NOT come with an optical drive.

what drives will fit, BESIDES the asus ones?

or will i have to buy an asus branded drive?

If you want something easy you need to buy the combo drive or dvd burner that Asus has already set up with the faceplates for the Z63a......

Otherwise ALL notebook optical drives are basically standardized and have been for years...... your only problem will be the faceplate and the drive carrier....

Anyone tried a slot loading drive. I put one in my Sager 5690 and love it.
