This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Can someone confirm the possible speeds of the dvd drive in the W5a. I was sure it was a 2x drive in that system until I saw this:

    DVD-Dual
    DVD-R/RW: 8X/4X or 4X/2X, DVD+R/RW: 8X/4X or 4X/2.4X, CD-R/RW:24X/10X or 16X/10X, DVD-ROM:8X, CD-ROM: 24X

    So is the drive 8x write instead of 2x?
