I got the G1 with Vista home premium, and I really don't feel like putting XP on this machine. But is XP going to be a whole lot faster? I'm looking to also do some mild photoshop and video editing on the machine. Will I benefit from the speed increase of the XP drivers if I switch over? I do like vista and it's very stable so far. But people keep saying that some day we will get optimised vista drivers for the 7700 go, when can we expect that? I'm sortof tired of waiting.

So I'm just not sure if going to XP will be worth the trouble, my main uses of the computer is:

Photos: Photoshop, Lightroom using dual monite setup.
Video: Adobe premier 2 and burning to DVD (lightscribe weee!)
and of course surfin the net and mild gaming.

What do you think, am I better of in XP? Or will waiting for the optimized drivers be worth it?
