    Hi all!

I recently ordered an M50VM-X1. Am I going to notice like, a huge difference between the P8400 and the T9400? I kinda need some more Battery life. The HDD size didnt matter, and neither did the screen. I have a 1080p TV with a PS3.

I could still cancel the order. Is it worth $200 more for the B1?

Also, Am I going to have an issue upgrading to 64-bit? I ordered the OEM version of 64-bit vista from Newegg with the computer itself.

No, for most tasks, you probably wouldn't notice a difference for the extra $200, because the video card is the laptop's primary bottleneck. The A1 model for an extra $50 is actually a much better value, even when compared to the X1.

And upgrading to 64-bit should be a breeze. The ASUS disc includes all the needed drivers for both 32 and 64-bit Vista.

The A1 is sold out at Newegg till the 29th. I kinda need this.....now? I got classes tomorrow. Hopefully I should get it tuesday. I paid about $1,350 for The computer, Vista and next day shipping. Not to mention I paid about $3 for rush. Even If I dont need it, whats $3?

I think you are right though with the A1. I know Gentec has it, but I want the computer now, not a week from now due to "Free Shipping". Ugh. IDK.

I've had the M50VM-X1 for 2 days now and its great. This is my first comp with Vista and Windows Update does not stop working, just keeps updating daily; why so many update? Its quick. I kinda wish I have gotten the M50VM-A1 since it has a higher resolution screen and more HDD space but I only paid $1199 w/ Free shipping. Next day after I bought mine, NewEgg had the M50VM-X1 as an Open Box item for like $837 and I almost flipped out as I don't mind barely used laptops. I played Crysis on it at 1024x768 @ Medium everything and it's playable but would like higher FPS.

I used to think 64 Bit Vista was a free upgrade but I guess I have to buy one.
