    Ordering an ASUS with XP vs Vista?

    Has anyone found a place to order an ASUS with XP instead of Vista?

    I don't think you will find that... All the ensembles of ASUS now come with Vista. (at least to my knowledge)

    as far as i know only fujitsu/hp/dell come with an xp option weather it be a disc or pre-installed...

    Another one that i know of is Zepto, they also offer a No-OS option. But they are mainly European.

    If you purchase any barebone notebooks, you can have the option for xp. However, like EBE said, all ensembles come with vista.

    On a sidenote, I also disagree on having the OS license pushed down our throats every time we buy a new computer. Personally I would make it illegal for a company selling computer systems to not offer a no-OS option.

    That's because they can get OEM OS for a very low price. A Vista Prenium UPG costs $60 with the studen discount just for exemple. That would mean they could get it at like $25, it wouldn't change anything at the retail price
