How can you overclock the processor on the G1sn? I've already used the Rivatuner to overclock my graphics card and I'm trying to look for overclocking the processor. I also heard that you can overclock the RAM, I don't understand how, but just interested if that can be done, too.

You cannot overclock your processor from Riva Tuner. That program is for GPU only.

Typically you can overclock CPU through BIOS, but since laptop BIOSes are usually locked to prevent users from damaging the laptop. As a result, I don't think you can overclock your CPU.

Here is the guide to use SetFSB
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=249470

Again, I wouldn't recommend it. The thermal solution might not be able to handle it, and you run a chance of losing your warranty.

But if you're determined, and know what you're doing, you can perform the overclock at your own risk.

The SetFSB doesn't include a link for my G1sn nor for my other laptop. My G1sn is a T5550 and my other laptop is like AMD MK-36 or something.

Now you can o/c. get setfsb and select the ICS9LPR363DGLF PLL and check the ultra box and only move the top slider. to 200 and that will it at 2.2 ghz and 800 rated fsb. i too had an t5550 g1sn-x1 but i replaced it with a t8300 mmmmmmm. and i have oc'ed to 2.8 ghz

    ZeroReality,

Have you had any success overclocking the FSB of your G1Sn? For some reason, I just can't overclock or even underclock mine without having display problems...

yes as i said i have my t8300 up to now 3.0 but at that speed it becomes unstable. so i usually only take it to 2.6 - 2.7 i am now running under 32bit vista and W7 :) . i always had problems under 64bit so i gave up the use of 1 gb of memory. And no noticeable change in speed. and i have the newest version of setfsb.
