Hey guys, so you may remember me from the dead battery post where i was really pissed off.....apparently i was right in that the actual laptop was not working correctly (some circuitry?) so i brought the laptop to an actual asus repair center where they said they would have to send me an entirely new laptop.......they will ship it out monday...and they didnt compensate me in any way by giving me a broken laptop..a**holes...ANYhow......

Dont flame me for this because im a nub but i wanted to know how to overclock the asus v1s and all the other things to make it go to 3500+ 3dmarks on 06. so far w/o overclocking it was only 2700 :( . yes i have pushed the search button but theres far too much filtering i have to do to get the exact info i want. since you guys probably know all the important links, it would be AWESOME if you could help me out.

I also tried using the Asus Key Control program to switch the fn and ctrl keys but when the program tries to track the key code for the key im pushing....the program doesnt respond...so if anyone knows what im doing wrong, it would be great if you could tell me :) and yes i did install the atk1001 or whatever driver that was required.(someone said it should work on vista)

Why overclock to increase benchmark scores? First try a game and if the performance is not satisfactory, then consider overclocking.

Moreover, be careful with your new notebook/battery, it may very well be that the V1S battery issues are common to the entire series, not isolated incidents on particular machines.
