Okay things are slowly coming together for InDirect Console. Ive decided the first beta (first early test will be G50/51 only) will support the G50/51 M50/51/70 and the W90. For this i need to find two things, all their hotkeys and all their leds (as well as PLL's).

Attached is an application based on Predator_MF's code for his G1 LED plugin for LCD Hype. It allows for finding whichs LED's can be toggled with the existing methods. Tested on the G50 its able to control the Wireless Lan, BlueTooth and Touchpad leds. Should control Mail LEDs on those who have it. Should control the gaming led on the G1 but no other models (unless G1 plugin worked on G2?).

I would like to get all other models while we are at it as I intend to support most ASUS models. If you know the PLL for your model please let me know, I only know the G50/51 and the W90. Also if you can determine all your capturable hotkeys with ASUSNBKeys from this forum that will help as well, thanks!

Notice - This application is provided AS-IS without warranty. Its has been tested on only one model and may have unknown effects or side effects on diverse and untested models.

VISTA/7 UAC - I have not tested this under UAC, it probably does not work under UAC so please right click and run as admin if you have UAC on to be sure that the program works.

Instructions - You may simply test all 26 possibles with the preset parameters of 0 1 or 2, test all 26 with a specific parameter, and or test each individual led with a specified parameter. Please note all leds that turn on and off and with what parameter they do what with, if possible please determine which led name is attached to what led.

Bug Reporting - If leds work with one of the top 4 buttons but not with any of the lower please remember to toggle the light back to on or off before trying and try again, ive noted an occasional stubborness on the individuals. If one button still does not work but should please let me know I may have made a mistake. The application should not throw any errors. However if it does nothing but error it may not be compatible with your model at all.

    THANK YOU!

Thanks, G51 should hopefully respond the same as the G50 but we never know what changes they make.

I'm testing this out now. G50vt. Does not seem to have any effect on the lights on the lid, which is unfortunate.

Also it seems that it may turn off bluetooth...not sure fully yet.

Just tested it. Only results are the touchpad LED (T LED) engaged correctly, nothing else was successful.

I did not test any of the Direct Console LED's (notifications). I closed it prior to testing, and it freezes upon re-opening. I guess it doesn't like the tester program.

EDIT: Direct Console posts an error message about windows mail after a little bit and then opens fine. Upon retesting, it is still only the touchpad LED that works.

EDIT 2: I have previously programmed the DC, Power4Gear, Touchpad, and SplendidVideo Fn buttons via Asus NbKeys.

    Hope that helps!

Well, while I would love to be of more assistance, the only seemingly successful LED buttons are W,T,and B as you have already noted. B, however, doesn't just disable the bluetooth light, rather, it disables the bluetooth adapter.

Other than that, I have tried a multitude of different buttons and have yet to see any other results.

Interesting that the bluetooth led off actually disables the bluetooth, it doesnt affect the wlan adapter. I dont have bluetooth so all i get is the light that never turns on to turn on.

Hm I didn't even know this thread existed... It's not the exposure that it deserves. I'll give it a try this week.

Hi, ClutchX2, are you getting enough data on this thread? It appears not... Shall we do something about it / make it a temporary sticky for instance?

B LED: 0 Disables bluetooth radio + LED
W LED: 0 Disables wireless radio + LED
T LED: 0 Disables Trackpad LED only

    PARAM 2 does nothing.

EDIT: I just noticed that the LED's state does not reset after a warm reboot.
