    Hi and happy new year.

I try to repair the ASUS laptop of a friend (model X55A under windows 8 or 8.1 i don't know) which doesn't work: it is impossible to launch windows, it stay locked at the login screen and reboot sometimes before. I found that the hard drive is defective: HD tune pro returns me 5 damaged LBA. Because no DVD or USB key recovery was made, i would like to try repairing the hdd to go under windows and then use the backtracker software of ASUS to create an USB key for restoring. So, i connected the hard drive to my laptop and use "chkdsk E: /R /V" which replaced the clusters of 2 files that are now unusable:

    1: "\PROGRA~2\WIC4A1~1\PHOTOG~1\WLXFAC~1.DLL"
    2: "\Windows\System32\input.dll"

The first file seems to be "E:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Photo Gallery\WLXFaceRecognition.dll" in version 15.4.3555.308 and 4.6 MB in size but i am not sure.

Can someone send me this two files ?

    Thanks, Willy.
