I need a PS2 to USB converter for my W3J that will support multiple keystrokes at once. I have one now from Radioshack but, it doesnt support multiple keystroaks at once, for example, if i play a game i cant move forwards AND strafe left or right at once, only one key or another. I need a cable that hopefully will use 1 USB port and has a PS2 connector for mouse AND keyboard. I could do a converter that uses 2 USB for the 2 PS2 ports but it would need to be thin enough that both could be plugged in the USB ports on the left side of the W3J.

Any products anyone has that might help, id appreciate the input. I want to use my LCD and old wireless keyboard/mouse with my laptop but at the moment it looks like it wont work out if i cant use multiple keys at once.

    thanks guys

    was dat?!

just to clarify. i OBVIOUSLY CAN MAKE CAPS (that was using the shift key and then typing the character) so i kno the keyboard can do 2 buttons at once but ... While playing a game if i am going forwerd with W i cant strafe left with A at the same time ... i have to stop moving forwerd, strafe, and then continue to move forwerd ...

    HELP!

I understand what your saying about multiple keystrokes.

For example, i can crouch (shift), lean (Q or E) and strafe (A or D) which then creates a slide motion. I can also press Tab key for the scores.
This is with my Desktop PS2 keyboard.

I am curious as to what game your playing and what keyboard you are using?

Does your W3J keyboard allow for multiple keystrokes? If that does, then your external keyboard should allow it too. If it doesn't you may want to hit SHIFT 5 times quickly to bring up the sticky buttons control and check the settings there.

Are you simply trying to hook up an old school keyboard to your W3J? Buy a new keyboard!!! You can get a cheap one for as little as $20!

I have a microsoft wireless desktop elite set (wireless mouse and keyboard) and it WAS used on my old desktop just fine! i have it plugged into my W3J via a little device with 2 female PS2 ports that turns into 1 USB 2.0 port. The keyboard should work fine but for some reason is not .... As for what games this happens for me in, every game. Examples, Prey, Oblivion, Uber Soldier, etc ... I tried sticky keys but no effect there (what setting should i have sticky keys in?) anyways ... more advice would be appreciated! oh, and yes holding down multiple keys like MilestonePC described works just fine on the keyboard on the W3J, just not the external one. whats the deal?!?!?!

figured it out. the cord i had (the crappy radioshack one) had a controller that handles the signal from the 2 PS2 ports to USB poorly and lost that ability for the keyboard to use multiple keys. Got the same cord but my compaq after returning the radio shack one and it works fine. Woohoo! thanks guys
