PSA: General notice to those last minute Christmas shoppers...

OK, well I have tried to keep the forum up on our practices for the last month or so, just to make sure we don't have any upset customers... or worse yet, customers kids when it comes to gifts this holiday season.

Basically, for us, today at 1pm EST was pretty much the cut off for orders going out via FedEx 2Day.... Now, for complete Ensemble units, it takes about an hour to process, pack, and ship...... but of course YOU are not the only one trying to do things last minute..... We did well and we were able to get a later pickup and everyone who ordered anything that wasn't a backorder, all got out today and will recieve their shipments by Friday..... Now to get into the real PSA of the PSA.... Christmas falls on Monday this year and basically Friday is the last day normal people can expect to get delivery of even Overnight shipments.... and no one will be delivering to you on Monday unless you pay through the nose for it. Basically, I've attached FedEx's "Holiday Shipping Guide - Last Days to Ship" below.

For us, customers have until approximately 12pm EST tomorrow, Thursday 12/21 to get in orders for "Standard Overnight Shipping" delivered on Friday. We can do "Priority Overnight w/ Saturday Delivery" if the order comes between then and Friday, but we ask that people call us for that service to make sure FedEx will actually guarantee it to your address..... For those that that are really late, FedEx has a "SameDay" service which is ungodly expensive..... and they are offering it on Christmas day, so imagine how expensive THAT would be.... Basically they pick up your package and deliver it to the airport.... buy it a plane ticket and then someone picks it up a couple hours later..... For that expense, you might as well deliver it yourself!

Anyway, I should have posted this a long time ago, but this is just to get an idea of how it works...... Remember: Overnight is about 50% more than 2Day, Priority Overnight is about 20% more than that, while Priority Overnight w/ Saturday Delivery is about 100% more than regular Overnight........ You're getting into some very expensive territory.
