Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out how to adjust the partition size on my laptop, but then I got to thinking, "I don't the ramifications of anything I'm doing!" So, I'll put it to those who have tried before me and know first hand. =)

For those of you without a G51VX, it's a pretty typical split. An OS partition (C) and a data partition (D). I can't remember the exact split off the top of my head, but I do remember seeing something like 80GB's free on the OS partition.

If I reset the partition to favor the data partition is that going to pose problems if I ever need to run the recovery? I have all of my pictures, music, Steam, etc. on the data partition and try to keep all of my programs on the OS partition. Is this a good way to protect data if the OS goes funky? Comments? Suggestions? Rude remarks?
