Do you mean your WEP key from your modem/router?

No, not connecting to a wireless router. Rather installing a wireless card (say from AT&T) that allows one to access wireless from anywhere.

    Thanks,
    Ravi

If its a mobile broadband card as you say, then you need to contact the carrier that covers the card, eg AT&T, Verizon, Etc. The password is likely given through them because all of those services are subscription based and the channels they work on are encrypted, so unless you have a subscription/service plan with a carrier the card is useless, but if you do contact them they should ahve the password for you, otherwise just try "admin" if its a system pw.

Hi jagg, thanks a lot. I also don't think it is an issue with the computer. Will try 'admin'. BTW, i got this computer as a gift - so am trying to solve a problem remotely. Thanks again.

If you got it as a gift, you still have to pay monthly for service. Like a cell phone.
