How come Asus has the Zero Dead Pixel Policy for some ensemble notebooks and not other ensembles? (W1, W2, V6, and M6 do have a ZDPP - i could be wrong on this)

Also unless its my network, Proportable's site doesn't let me add anything to the cart - i click add to cart and nothing happens. Also the check ship rates brings up the pop up but never displayes the price after i hit submit.

Lastly, some sites such as istnc.com and zipzoomfly advertise the w3v with 2x256 of ram. Are they wrong when posting this or are they modifiying their systems?

It would appear that ASUS offers ZBD policy on non-glossy screens...although the W2 may have a glossy screen which shoots down that theory. It's really ASUS's choice I suppose...
My best guess is that on the larger screens, there are more pixels; the more pixels, the more likely that there will be a bad pixel.

With smaller ensembles like the W5 and W3, the screen is smaller and therefore has less pixels... so there's a less chance of getting one with a dead pixel. Therefore, ASUS doesn't expect many dead pixels or nearly none from these notebooks.

If you disable the popup blocker ship calc should work for you. Yahoo toolbar and other toolbars can function as popup blockers as can norton and mcaffe. I belive this happens with java based shopping carts.

I think if it is Asus laptop, the dead pixel policy is pretty much the same with no matter who you go with because it is ultimately Asus is the one who handle the RMA.

The part at the top is our pixel policy. This is EXACTLY word for word Asus' policy for the ensemble line as well.

    Thanks,
