    Hey there!

I have a little problem that is quite frustrating. I am using the bluray on my laptop to play some movies, and so far it works great. The problem lies when I connect my laptop to my samsung HDTV.

I can get the full signal and all, but when I start playback, the video just doesn't show, it remains all black (the audio can clearly be heard though). Its just that. I can't see the movie video at all but I can hear the sound. (the desktop background can be seen too when I minimize the WinDVD software).

Any clue on how I can fix this? Thanks.

This will sound pretty basic, but have you tried reinstalling WinDVD?

Can you switch to HDMI-only output (assuming you're connecting via HDMI)?

The first time I viewed a Blu-Ray on my G73 I learned one is only allowed to view Blu-Ray content on a single output device at one time :)

Yeah, thanks for the suggestion but I already do one output at a time, because otherwise I get errors.

I believe this might be driver problems. Dammit nVidia why can't you make great performing drivers that also work for all the rest of GPU uses

It could also be an issue with WinDVD. Try running trial versions of PowerDVD or Total Media Theater 3.

I believe that is something related to the HDCP while you may have to disable the LCD on your G51.

Just give it a try, on completely turn off the LCD panal and switch your display to your HDMI source. (No background on so on your laptop)

There may be some disable / enable within the video card setting you need to do...
