I have an Asus G1. I want to play it to my portable speakers, but sound only comes out in one channel for music. How do i change the configuration into stereo output format? Thanks. I have windows vista if that matters

Er...I think this would fall under the Sound Driver's domain? Are you talking about those Surround Sound Settings and such in its control panel? Try looking for some settings in there.

hmm type of speaker are u using stereo or surround sound ? because if its stereo just plug it in to the output (S/PDIF) jack and done.. if u are using surround sound have to get external soundcard unless ur speaker has an optical input jack.

I put my bet that you just done have the jack pushed all the way in :p

Im assuming your using a 1/8" sterio headphone jack like most pc speakers use.

or he's using the wrong plug/cable as his mini jack only has one black band(mono mini Jack for 1 channel) rather than 2 black bands.
