im interested in buying the w3j to replace my 3 year old dektop. Gonna use this laptop for photoshop and a little bit of gaming, mostly CS and WoW.
So my question to any w3j owner that also play WoW, hows the WoW performance on the W3j ? hows the FPS, settings etc etc

I havent played Wow but you should be able to run everything at max and it will play smoothly. I play CS Source and its completely smooth. I think I have everything on default but I'm sure you could crank it to max and still be perfect. You will be able to play pretty much any new game out there with some tweaking.

Yeah, WoW doesn't suck up resources like Oblivion and FEAR (and other games). Your system should never bottleneck even on the highest settings.

Wow plays fine at max settings with tons of addons(4mb worth :D), and I'm only using a x700, the x1600 is a step ahead of that.

Yea, WoW is pretty old, a W3J will pretty much rip that game apart

When comparing the X700 to the X1600, on average you will find that the X1600 is 35% better than the X700.

The X700 will roughly get 2200-2400 3DMark05 and the X1600 will get close to 4000 3DMark05.

The X1600 also has Shader Model 3 and DX 9 support, so you will be able to play newer games for some time.

WOW is a great MMO game and the X1600 is equipped with enough power to play WOW and other games. Just adjust the settings in the games to match your needs and playability.

Also keep up to date with the latest drivers for the X1600.
