Please help me on where I can find a W3J-H026P in Daly City. A friend of mine went to Daly City and gave me a favor to buy me a laptop and bring it home to Philippines. Online ordering is not possible because he has no credit card that is accepted in US. So our only chance is to find a store, buy it with cash, and pick it up. I really really need all your help.

If you ask me why i can't buy the notebook here in Phils., it is because all of the electronics here are INSANELY OVERPRICED. Their prices are almost twice the prices in US.

Please help me. Thank you very much in advance.

Does it make a difference? You'll be charged by customs anyways.

it does make a difference. The laptop will be bought as if it is owned by the buyer. he will remove it from the box and bring it with a bag. This is what we did to my Dell E1505.

Well, officially that wouldn't work in my country (Denmark). You have to bring documentation, that the laptop was brought from Denmark when you left the country. Of course, only if you get stopped in customs :)

But, what I was going to say anyway, why just not make some kind of money order, cashiers check or wire transfer and buy it online?

They don't do that in our country. I don't know, all of my laptops are bought in other countries like my old HP NX 7000 and Dell E1505.

Does online shops like newegg.com accepts COD? I think they don't, that is just my guess. My only chance is to pick it up from a store and I can't find a store that sells W3J unlike those models HP and Toshiba.

I want to buy it from US because I just want to save precious money.

If you can go from Daly City, there is a store in the East Bay called Central Computers(they have one in SF too I think).

    #'s = East Bay CC = 510-793-5555
    SF CC = 415-495-5888

I second the buying online option with cashiers check/money order.
You will get a discount for not using a CC, PLUS no tax.
powernotebooks.com is outside CA - there are also other stores - look in the sticky

I am not well informed about taxation in US. Do you mean that if I order from powernotebooks.com I will not get taxed? Please confirm this because this will be very helpful. Thank you very much for that information.

yes, as they are based right off the California - Nevada border and since there out of state, they have no tax.
