I used to have my notebook go directly to my desktop screen right after lifting the lid.Now after I reformatted my UX31E after opening the lid it goes to the login screen, then I have to push an extra button the select my user before going to my desktop, instant on has been downloaded and manually installed. This small issue is driving me NUTZ,I tried going to my user accounts dialog box and unticking "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer",but that does not help?Suggestions?

Where did you do this from? That should have removed the prompt/logon screen.

    Hi
I typed in 'netplwiz" in the start menu search. The strange thing is if I restart the computer it skips the logon screen, but not when I lift the lid??

Got er figured out,it turned out to be an easy obvious oversight.Had to go to control panel-power options-choose what closing the lid does-and ticking off don't require a password at the bottom-DONE :)

Ah, there you have it! I had almost forgotten about netplwiz; I've always used the run command: control userpasswords2.
