    Very confused...

the G1S-B2 is on for a great price right now, 1600. But is the new penryn m51 model much more superior? I want the strong ASUS build quality, that's a must, but is the difference in processor and video card (M51 has 9600) gonna be big?

And does anybody know how much they might cost?

Also, is there a 14" laptop with specs like the G1S-B2?

    Thanks a lot

No the M51 has 9500GS, on paper its looks identical to the 8600GT so it could just be a re branded version.

The price is 100 EUR lower for the M51 (preorder) than the G1S in a store here in the Netherlands. I would therefore expect that it is not better-built than the G1.

Also take into account the fact that it might be a while until the M is available (I don't have details though).

I don't know the diff between the GPUs. The CPU difference will help perhaps in conserving batteries, but otherwise won't be felt much.
