I got the latest omega drivers but i am having troubles with Bf2...crashes...sound crackling etc...it seems unstable.
Any driver suggestions would be helpful...thanks!

My reccomendation to you is to use the Asus drivers. I can't imagine the the W3j needs a non-official driver to run at top speed, and that if these problems arise when using those drivers, the Asus should be stable. Hope I understand the drivers you are using right, otherwise, sorry I can't help.

My asus comes with catalyst drivers which are fine...but i saw that there are later versions of the catalyst drivers...my question is...which version is the best? And where do I get it?
-
try each version and benchmark them. see which gives you the best scores.
-
These are the 6-9's which run great on my W3j... -
Skid...are you able to boot your w3j on battery power? I cant with the latest catalyst drivers.
-
Charivari, I use the 6.8 version and it seems OK with the BF2, at least ini my W3J. You can download it at http://www.driverheavendownloads.net/ati.htm.
Oooops sorry my mistake... it's not the mobility one... it's for the desktop version...
OK get that here http://li.ru/go?www.3dnews.ru/files/pub/drivers/ati/6-8-mobile_xp_dd_ccc_enu_35181.exe -
Don't use 6.9, they have powerplay bug (unless you want it disabled completely).
-
Yeah, for whatever reason 6.9 through 6.11 have the powerplay bug (reboots on me if I try and switch powerplay settings). If you use powerplay you're best sticking with the 6.8's for now...
Please help...need good drivers for my W3j...
