A week and a half ago, I sent an email to each of the ASUS retailers who regular this forum. It was a simple product enquiery about battery upgrade from my W7J.

    I recieved NO REPLIES!

How do guys do business? Evidently, not through email.

    --RANT END--

I know, I know, its a pretty wimpy rant.

Call them. They're always very helpful on the phone. Your email probably got dumped into their SPAM box.

I had a similar experience with a retailer, but i have to be honest that is just a simple part of doing business.

Please note - I did not call Excaliber. So my rant does not include them. :)

Probably they are very busy and generic emails tend to get ignored. Is there a contact/ask question form on their website? You might want to use that next time. I did it with many stores here in the Netherlands and the answer always came before 12hours had passed (sometimes the guys answered at hours like 11PM and 12PM !! )

And of course, the easiest way for a critical question is to call.

That doesn't sound live very good business to me. If you have an email address published, answer your email. Its as simple as that. As I said at the outset, these guys have poor service.

Can't disagree. :) But I'd say that they are poor in answering emails rather than generalizing and saying that they have poor service... maybe call answering is better, for instance.

well knowing that you hate me i know i am not the regular you speak of. perhaps a phone call or live chat would be a better way to reach your vendor. Aside from me and Ken i do not know any regulars here. So who are you talking about

Like others said above, they got good responses from eXcaliber.com. I have to agree with that. I sent an e-mail inquiry and had a response in a matter of minutes - not the hours or day I was expecting. Good job to the folks at sXcaliber.com -keep up the great work.
