Hey, for all you United States people out there, I just got a call from Portable one telling me that my laptop could be shipped out now, but I'd have to install the bluetooth card by myself as they are not yet in the States.

Pretty much they said I could ask them to do it, but it would delay my notebook by a week or so. Although the rep said it would be relatively easy to do (said just have to pop out back panel and put the card in) I opted for the second option as I am in no rush and, well, it's just easier.

So all in all, those of you ordering from Portable one won't have your A8JM with bluetooth shipped out until about June 6.

Really? that easy???? People have been saying how installing the internal bluetooth would require disassembling the whole notebook. Can you confirm with them that it's that easy?

The man, I think his name was Vince or something (phone was a lil fuzzy) said that my A8JM was boxed up and ready to ship if I wanted them to send it out and just send the Bluetooth card later. He said that it was easily put in, having heard that's it usually requires a complete disassembly with Asus I was surprised and asked, "It's easy? So it doesn't require taking apart the whole computer?" and that's when he said that all you have to do is to take a cover off the back of the computer to gain easy access.

If I show you the steps, I am sure you will give up, the socket is along the edge of the board, it is a big job, that is why I am still not offering that option.

You can open the bottom cover, but after that, you need to hire a small ant to access that socket for you.

See now That goes along with what I've heard. Either way, I'm happy to just let them do it.
