Ok, so I'd heard a few horror stories about Asus's customer service before, so I figured I'd post a positive story on here.
I've had my laptop for a year and a half now. It stopped working completely a few weeks ago. Eventually I figured out that the prong inside of the power jack on my laptop had completely broken off (easy to diagnose after opening the laptop and seeing it roll around).
I feared calling Asus's customer service, but eventually did. They were pleasant enough there, although a little short. The CSR issued an RMA label for me immediately and I shipped it off to Indiana.
Despite voiding the warranty when I upgraded the RAM they fixed it up, and then without calling me fixed the broken usb ports and the cracked palm rest that I hadn't even mentioned to them (they didn't bother me, the ports were still usable and the palm rest was an "eh" issue).
So today I got it back after sending it out last Wednesday (5 business day turnaround, definitely not bad) I have a like-new laptop back from Asus!
It definitely makes me more willing to buy an Asus when I finally decide that this laptop's over the hill.

Huh, what horror stories of Asus customer services? Despite the problems with my C90s, Asus has been one of the best customer services I've EVER dealt with. The only thing I can say is I could never get a hold of a supervisor to complain about my C90s, that took some miracle working, but otherwise there never was any reason (besides complaints about the C90s) to get a hold of a supervisor.

The horror stories should be limited to the UK and parts of the EU AFAIK. US and Canada Asus CS is considered one of the best in the industry

Really? When I bought the thing I was told otherwise. Oh well, one more positive story isn't going to hurt them
