I'm considering getting an Asus N56VZ and have also been looking at the ACP70 USB3.0 Docking Station made by Targus.
There's a video here :
Targus USB 3.0 Docking Station Demo with USB 3.0 Gold Tree - YouTube
that shows this docking station powering 2 x external HDMI monitors and various other USB peripherals (webcams etc) simultaneously via a single USB 3.0 input.
Is anyone using this? What I'd like to know is if it is possible to have the N56VZ provide display to 3 monitors : it's own screen and 2 monitors HDMI connected via the Targus USB3.0 docking station?
If so, is it also possible to get full HD on all 3 monitors simultaneously?
If not, does anyone know what *is* possible with 2 external monitors and the Targus USB3 Docking Station?
Note I'm definitely talking about the VZ (with the beefier 650? GPU).
Thanks!

Looking at reviews shows someone using the G74 notebook and did not have any issues. He said as soon as the display port updates were installed he was able to use up to 5 monitors. Looks like in order to connect 2 HDMI cables you will have to purchase an adapter from DVI to HDMI.
Here is a link below of the customers review.

You could also look for a dongle like this one: Cirago UDA-3000 USB 3.0-to-HDMI-Adapter Review. Probably cheaper if all you're looking for is another video out.
Possible to use 2 external monitors (plus Asus screen) with Targus USB 3.0 docking station?
