Ok, I currently have a HP DV9500t, but I was thinking about purchasing the Asus G2S-B1 and I was wondering what all of you think about Asus quality in notebooks and the performance of this model. I don't have much time to return my HP laptop because the 21 day return period will be up soon and I might lose the money for the warranty because it is older than the 21 days (but oh well this looks like a great laptop and has better specs than the HP). If you could please give me your opinions on this laptop and how well it performs I would greatly appreciate it. I will be using this laptop for gaming until I have the money to build myself a gaming desktop, anyways I wanted something portable for gaming because I go to friends and LAN parties a lot and lugging a desktop is a pain sometimes.

I would like to know things such as:
    Screen Quality
    Build Quality
    Customer Service Quality
    Performance in high graphic games
    etc

    Thanks in advance!

Good stuff. I would recommend it to anyone.

2 issues: 1. heat - this baby gets hot when gaming. 2. Battery life - 2 hours max - limits me from taking it too far w/o the brick.

Thanks for you quick reply. Is the G2S-B1 the best Asus laptop for the price range. Also, is there a way to custom build the laptop or are there just pre-built models. The G2S-B1 I found was on newegg for 2,099 and I went on Asus' website and they have no info on where to go to build them or the price of them.

Also, how is the warranty on them? Is there a standard warranty on all the laptops? If I buy it from newegg what is the warranty that they offer like? Where is the best place to buy them?

I know I'm asking a lot of questions, but I just want to be 100% sure before I purchase one. Buying laptops always makes me nervous and I like to be 100% sure before I go through with it. The reason why I'm here in the first place was because I rushed into buying the DV9500t and I didn't realize how bad the 8600m GS sucked.

I've also been hearing about the C90S alot, which would be better for gaming, this or the C90S?

I, and many others, obviously think the C90 which is faster right now, but with the G2S, you'll have larger real estate which would be better in that respect, but I HAD to have a 15 incher as I believe that's a perfect balance of portability (with the brick ha ha) and gaming. It just boils down to personal preference. I think you really can't go wrong IMO with either. BTW, the C90 goes up to 3gb of ram, whereas the G2s goes up to 4 max. I obviously didn't think that 1 gig would matter, i.e. the difference between 3 max and 4 max. The C90 uses a high performance desktop chipset which supports fsb speeds over 800mhz, but limits the ram to 3 gb. VisciousXUSMC has explained the why's to that on threads here you can look up.
