The green light went out on my power adapter. The adapter itself is very warm. Does this it need to be replaced? If so where would I find one, could not find one on Asus E store. The adapter is connected to the cord though a surge protector, the light on this is working fine.

    Thanks

The LED could always be bad, but if it's very warm when you're charging with the notebook off then you should probably look at replacing, yes.

If you're in the US, look at any of the resellers around here -- GenTech, BTOTech, ExcaliberPC. I know that Eddie at BTO has it, but you'll have to check the others. You can expect great service from any of the three.
