I sent my G1S in for an RMA about a month ago and they sent me a new power cord unit along with my repaired laptop. The cord is already failing, with a fray at the female end of the wall-to-transformer patch cable. This fray is directly touching the plug, so splicing it to make a repair is not an option.
I'm looking for ideas for how to replace this part. Can cables like this be found, or would I need to replace the entire power supply unit? If I do need a new unit, what should I look for? Buy an OEM product from an ASUS vendor, or get a generic?
Thanks!!

You should ask Asus for an exchange. They'll probably ask you to do a cross-ship.

yeah, just ask Asus for a replacement.

ok, cool. Thanks.
Wasn't sure if that would be considered "normal wear and tear" or anything. -
Awesome! New adaptor on the way. ^_^
